Linux machine with high-speed SSD with PCI-E connection

We received an inquiry about a device control machine that can boot openSUSE (128 2bit) from a PCI-E (M.13.2) connected SSD with a capacity of 64GB or more. The budget is about 30 yen, and the faster the disk access, the better.

The CPU is Core i7-5930K (3.50GHz 6 cores), the memory is 8GB, and 2GB SAMSUNG SM512 is installed as an SSD for PCI-E (M.951) connection. If you need high-speed disk access, at present, I think that the configuration will be the one with the best balance of performance and cost performance. An HDD can be installed for data.

The transfer speeds of the PCI-E (M.2) connected SSD and SAMSUNG SM951 used in this example were compared and measured.
