1U database server with NVMe SSD

■ This is an article posted on June 2015, 12, so the content of the information may be out of date.

We received an inquiry about a database server from our customer.
We have received the following requests regarding the configuration and conditions.

・ 1U rack mount
・ Power supply unit and LAN redundancy
・ IPMI management is possible
・ I want to make the disk access for data as fast as possible
・ Expected to expand data capacity in the future

To meet these demands, we have proposed the following configurations.

→ 1U rack mount chassis 500W redundant power supply
→ GigabitLAN x2 (Teaming setting)
→ IPMI management port x1

For the system disk, we have proposed installing a SATA-connected SSD for data centers of 400 GB and a PCI-E connected high-speed SSD of 1.2 TB for data. It is said that expansion is being considered in the future, and the configuration is such that a total of 3 PCI-E connection SSDs (2 can be added) can be connected.

Another NVMe SSD is added to the configuration introduced in the example.
There is an extra slot, so you can install a total of 1 units.
