We received a consultation from a customer that they are considering a workstation with 64-cores for general-purpose thermal fluid analysis software ANSYS Fluent. We proposed a configuration with 16 cores CPU x 4 64 cores, 1TB memory and RAID1 (mirror specification) storage.
For this application, we did not perform pre- and post-processing, but intended to use it as an analysis-only machine, so the graphics are only onboard. If you need a GPU, please contact us separately.
