How to use dongle server

When you connect the USB dongle key to the dongle server, the PC (A) recognizes the dongle key via the network and you can use the software that requires the USB dongle key.

While the PC (A) is connected to the USB dongle key, the USB dongle cannot be used by another PC (B).

This function is suitable for the following scenes.

・Do not take the USB dongle key out of the office to prevent loss or theft
・Share the USB dongle key among multiple PCs (people) (Do not use simultaneously)

You can also share a USB memory (mass storage device), so you can use it like a simple NAS by managing and updating the contents of the USB memory shared by the team over the network.

There are two types of dongle servers made by SEH Computertechnik GmbH: 8-port dongleserver Pro and 20-port dongleserver ProMAX.

ProMAX has dual internal power supplies and network connectivity for increased reliability and redundancy. You can also back up the set parameters, passwords, and certificates to an SD card, so you can transfer the settings to another dongleserver ProMAX in a short time. And with ProMAX's ability to view problems in detail, you'll be able to see at a glance where SD card errors and power problems are occurring.

1) You can optionally name the USB port.
This feature makes it easier to identify which USB dongle is connected to which USB port if you have more than one of the same USB dongle.

2) You can set a password for the USB port.
By setting a password on the USB port, you can expose only the USB dongle you need to the people who need it. The password-set USB port cannot use the dongle of the USB port unless the password is distributed by the administrator.

3) Extended warranty can be added with ServicePlus.
The normal product warranty is 3 years after delivery, but if you purchase ServicePlus together with the dongleserver main unit and register the user and license key on the SEH WEB page, the product warranty is extended for 2 years in total. 5 years.

If a problem occurs, we will support sendback to the manufacturer. However, if the main unit breaks down and the dongle continues to be unusable, it will hinder business. 4) Structurally, it has useful functions.
