
We received a consultation from a customer about a machine for using CAE software "Femtet" and Matlab.On the machine currently in use (32GB of memory), the calculation is often interrupted due to insufficient continuous memory area, and we would like to discuss this problem while improving the calculation speed.
Femtet itself supports multi-thread processing by introducing the parallelization option, but the speedup by parallel computing will reach a plateau around 8 threads.In addition, Femtet is a software with a very large memory load, and depending on the type of processing, it uses hundreds of GB of memory.
Taking these assumptions into consideration, we estimated the configuration with 8 cores and 12 CPU, which has more room than 1 cores, and 32 GB of memory, which takes into account that the calculation is interrupted by 256 GB of memory of the current machine.
This configuration also meets the operating requirements of Matlab, but we also accept additional storage and video cards, so please feel free to contact us.
