The customer consulted with us about a workstation for using the plasma analysis software VSim 11.0.
Since there is information that the memory bandwidth of the CPU is the most important software, we would like to have a configuration with 12 cores or more and a large number of memory channels and maximum memory clock. In addition, the budget is about 80 yen, and we have a condition that we can deliver it in a short delivery time.
As for the memory bandwidth, 8ch of memory per CPU is the fastest, but in that case, it did not match the customer's request in terms of delivery time, so we proposed a 6ch configuration as the next plan.
It is assumed that the CPU has more cores than desired, but this is because we have selected a type that is easily available at the time of proposal and has a high memory speed. In addition, the memory capacity is 6 channels depending on the number of memories, and the 6-card configuration is the fastest, so 16GB x 6 cards = 96GB in total, which is more than desired. Please consider it as a guide with the configuration with the fastest memory speed and the minimum capacity.
