The latest model of a 6-axis control open source robot arm for education and research developed by Niryo, France.Ned2Was released (November 2022).
Robot arm from Kickstarter Niryo ONE, The successorNedIt is a model that follows.
What is Ned2
A 4.0-axis controlled collaborative robot (Cobot) for education, research and Industry 6 based on open source technology.Designed for a wide range of users including educational institutions, manufacturers and developers, it is based on Raspberry, Arduino and ROS (Robot Operating System).By adopting an aluminum structure that realizes high accuracy, reproducibility (0.5 mm), and smooth movement, it is possible to reproduce the complicated movement required in the industrial field.
In addition, the learning mode that allows you to move the robot directly by hand and learn the movement, and the original Blockly-based desktop application (Niryo Studio) allow you to control the robot arm without any programming knowledge.Of course, you can also use ROS to devise various programs to suit your needs, from simple to complex.
