What is RealityCapture?

Unipos's popular all-in-one photogrammetry software that automatically creates beautiful, accurate and realistic 3D models from photos and laser scan data.
Not limited to specialized equipment, you can use images scanned with your own camera, smartphone, or drone, so it is currently used in various fields such as research / medicine and manufacturing.

Use Case:

Cultural heritage, architectural design, game development, VFX (Visual Effects, visual effects), VR / AR experience, photogrammetry / mapping, full body scan / print, etc.

System requirements

Photogrammetry is a technology that analyzes image data taken or scanned from various directions of a target object and converts it into a three-dimensional model.
When utilizing such technology, a high-performance, high-spec PC is generally required, but the system requirements of RealityCapture are not so different from those of a general PC, but the processing speed is high. The quality is also evaluated as high.

  • OS: Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10, Windows Server 2008+ (64bit)
  • CPU: 4 cores * SSE4.2 (Streaming SIMD Extensions 4.2) or later
  • RAM: 8GB (minimum) / 16GB (recommended)
  • GPU: NVIDIA graphics card w / CUDA 3.0+ capabilities and 1GB VRAM

* Note *
– Texture mesh cannot be created if NVIDIA graphics card is not installed
– Windows Server: Media Foundation features need to be installed

About the machine with the optimum configuration for using Reality Capture

We will guide you with a configuration that meets the operating requirements of RealityCapture.

Reality Capture employs a method of sequentially reading the data to be expanded into the software from the storage, which allows the software to operate without problems even with a memory capacity that is relatively small compared to the amount of data to be expanded.However, on the other hand, it is also possible that the access performance of the storage will have a large impact on the processing.

In our machine for Reality Capture, NVMe compatible SSD is adopted as standard for storage to ensure access performance to storage.The storage capacity and number of units can be adjusted within the range of computer specifications according to the customer's request.
In addition, Reality Capture is equipped with NVIDIA GPU (*) as standard to create textured mesh.You can also select a model other than the top model, so please let us know when you make a request.

* You can use RealityCapture on a computer that does not have an NVNDIA GPU, but it does not support the creation of textured meshes.
