Why photochromic lenses?

Trimble HoloTint automatically adjusts the tint level (Visible Light Transmission: VLT) between 11% and 45.2% based on the UV light of the ambient light.

VLT (Visible Light Transmission) is the percentage of visible light (light visible to the human eye, glare) that passes through the lens from the outside to the inside.Typical VLT is 10-20% in clear weather conditions, 20-30% in overcast and 40-50% in cloudy days and evenings.
From this figure, it can be seen that Trimble HoloTint can flexibly respond to changes in lighting conditions such as natural sunlight, indoor lighting, and weather.
