Added to the Unipos website "MODE” is a graphical front-end to MODTRAN for remote sensing.
Sensing technology that uses various sensors to measure physical quantities (mass, distance, force, time, current, etc.), converts them into digital data, and visualizes them. There are two types of this sensing technology, "smart sensing" and "remote sensing", and MODO is a product related to the latter remote sensing.
Remote Sensing is a technology that collects necessary information from places far away from the ground, such as satellites and aircraft, without touching the target object. It is one of the most useful applications in the fields of surveying (mineral spectroscopy), agriculture and forestry, aerial reconnaissance, and cartography.

What is MODO?
Graphic user interface for MODTRAN, an atmospheric radiative transfer model jointly developed by the US Air Force Research Laboratory and Spectral Sciences. MODO's excellent user interface makes it easy to model hyperspectral (HS) sensor radiance and general radiometric (infrared radiation) simulations.
Main functions/features:
- Running MODTRAN via GUI
- Plot the output of MODTRAN
- Extracting and transforming spectra from MODTRAN
- spectral convolution
- Simple Atmospheric Correction of Multispectral Images for Flat Terrain
- Cross-platform compatible
System requirements:
- Operating system: Linux (x86), MacOSX or Windows
- MODO runs: IDL 8.7 (Harris Inc.)

About ReSe Applications
A company that develops satellite remote sensing applications for processing multispectral and hyperspectral imagery. It enables verification and research using orthorectification (PARGE), atmospheric/terrain correction (DROACOR/ATCOR), and MODO (MODTRAN) of collected spectroscopic image data.
These applications are also designed to process remote sensing data from instruments such as HyMAP, APEX, AVIRIS, HySpex from NEO, AISA from Specim, HyperSpec from Headwall Photonics, Resonon Pika, and CASI from Itres. it was done.It is also based on IDL technology (programming language) for extending the remote sensing image analysis software ENVI.
About License
Educational license for limited use for educational purposes (Education License), non-commercial limited licenses for research institutes and universities (Research License),Highly scalable and commercially available license (Commercial Licence) has three licenses.
MODEWhen contacting us, please let us know your license registrant information (organization name), license type, and MODO version.
In the case of licenses for educational institutions, the school name/university name and website (URL) are also required.
*At the time of purchase, it is necessary to disclose the final destination (location) and purpose (purpose of use) of the software to the manufacturer.
Try MODO: About Trials
Modtran for remote sensing applications is available upon request with a free 30-day evaluation license.
