Robot control simulation machine

A customer involved in robot control research consulted us about a machine for scientific simulation.
We are doing simulations with self-made software, and we would like a machine with as much memory as possible with 1 CPU specification.
In addition, we are asking for the following information as points for consideration.

・The calculation speed is determined by the number of CPU clocks x number of cores, so I would like a Xeon series with a large number of cores.

・The budget is about 300 million yen, and I would like you to propose a machine with the fastest possible calculation speed.

・Inexpensive video card is sufficient as calculations using GPU are not performed.

・Calculation results are immediately saved on the server, so the number and capacity of installed storage does not need to be large.

・I would like to use Windows 10 Pro Japanese version as the OS

・No optical drive required

In our proposal, we introduced a configuration with 1 CPU specification that emphasizes the number of cores and a memory capacity of 512 GB.

【Main Specifications】

CPU Xeon Platinum 8380 (2.30GHz 40 cores)
memory 512GB REG ECC
storage 500GB SSD S-ATA
video on board (VGA x1)
network On Board (1000Base-T X2)
Housing + power supply Middle tower case + 850W
OS Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

■ Points
・Except for the CPU and memory, it is set with almost the minimum specifications
・Based on the fact that the calculation results will be saved to the server immediately, a 500GB SSD was selected as the minimum capacity for the OS and software.
・Video output is on board
・If 3D, video display, high-speed scrolling, etc. are expected, a separate video card must be added.

Customers also asked us about points to be aware of in the installation environment.
I heard that the installation location is in a room with 24-hour air conditioning, so as a point other than the ambient temperature, I would like to ask you to install it in a layout that allows you to take in the air you want to pack from the front of the main unit. The heat inside the chassis is exhausted from the rear side, but if the hot exhausted air circulates around the front side of the main unit, it will cause cooling problems. Please consider.
In addition, as a pre-shipment test, we have confirmed that the CPU load rate is 25% + continuous operation for 100 hours or more in a room temperature environment of about 12 degrees Celsius, and we will provide it after confirming that there is no problem with the operating temperature. increase.
