[Product introduction] ODrive Pro / ODrive S1 : High performance DC motor controller

A high-performance DC motor controller "ODrive Pro / ODrive S1page has been added.

The ODrive series is an open source DC motor controller developed and provided by ODrive Robotics. By using ODrive, a brushless motor can play the role of a stepping motor, allowing you to create high-performance robots and equipment.

At Unipos,ODrive v3.6has been a popular product for many years, but ODrive v3.6 is now End Of Life.Introduced in this articleODrive Pro"and"ODrive S1” is the successor to this ODrive v3.6.

Application example (example of utilization)

ODrive allows connected brushless motors to be used like stepper motors for applications such as position control. Therefore, it can be used in various applications that require highly accurate position control, such as the following.

  • 3D printer (FDM/FFF)
  • CNC mill (3-axis machine)
  • pick and place unit
  • Polar graphs
  • Robot arm
  • walking robot
  • exosuit
  • motion simulation platform
  • rugged camera gimbal
  • Camera cart/slide
  • cable cam
  • mobile ground robot
  • Various art projects, etc.

In the video below you can see an example of using ODrive (ODrive v3.6) for a pick and place machine.
