A machine suitable for using SCONE and OpenSim (budget 500 million to 600 million yen)

A customer involved in research on musculoskeletal models and posture control consulted us about a machine for predictive calculation of biological motion using "SCONE" and development and analysis of musculoskeletal models using "OpenSim". .

Assuming analysis and optimization of human motion, optimization processing is performed in parallel by CPU threads. We know that the CPU speed and number of cores directly affect the calculation time, so you requested a configuration with a large number of cores.
I would like a product with a high processing speed because it writes in real time, although it does not require a lot of HDD capacity.

The OS is Windows 10, which is stable in the current environment, and the budget is around 500 million to 600 million yen.

Based on the conditions you contacted us, we proposed the following configuration.

【Main Specifications】

CPU Xeon Platinum 8380 (2.30GHz 40 cores) x2
memory 512GB
storage 4TB M.2 SSD
video Nvidia T400
network On Board (1000Base-T X2)
Housing + power supply Tower type housing + 1000W
OS Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

As a Xeon configuration that emphasizes the number of cores, we proposed a configuration with two Xeon Platinum 8380 (40 cores).
Since there was no specification of memory capacity, it is temporarily set to 512 GB considering the machine scale. SSD prioritizes speed and chooses M.2 type 4TB products.

Also, considering the nature of the software, we decided that the video performance should be enough to output to the screen at a general level, so we chose a low-end type video card.

The OS is Windows 10,Windows 10 itself has already ended, so if the software side supports it, we strongly recommend using Windows 11.
If you need a lot of cores anyway, you can use EPYC by using a Linux OS instead of Windwos 10, and you can achieve a 128 core / 256 thread configuration.

The configuration of this case study is based on the conditions given by the customer.
Please feel free to contact us even if you are considering different conditions from what is posted.
