[Product introduction] Embedded Wizard : Tool for GUI development of embedded devices

On the Unipos website, a tool for GUI development of embedded devices "Embedded Wizardpage has been added.

Embedded Wizard is an embedded GUI technology that creates platform independent, high performance GUIs.In addition to industrial equipment such as measuring instruments, consumer equipment such as smart TVs, and medical equipment that implements touch operation, it also supports hardware such as microcomputers with limited resources.

The unique development tool "Embedded Wizard Studio" can be operated intuitively based on visual programming. For example, prepare a GUI designed with a graphic editor such as Illustrator/Photoshop or Sketch as an asset and import it into the Embedded Wizard development tool. You can generate the GUI source code by designing it.It is possible to build applications for embedded systems with a simple procedure of reading this source code in the build environment.

Below is a video that introduces the operation procedure of the Embedded Wizard, using "Creating a GUI for a coffee machine" as an example. At the end of the video, it is introduced how to operate the created GUI on the touch panel.

About Embedded Wizard Licensing

Embedded Wizard is Perpetual license.License includes free updates valid for 12 months from purchase.

Embedded Wizard is a development toolStudio licenseand the embedded packagePlatform Package Licenseconsists of two licenses.

■ Studio License

A tool for GUI development on Windows PC.One license is required per developer.

■ Platform Package License

Code dependent on the target MCU.A license is required for each supported target MCU.
It acts as an abstraction layer for the embedded systems and graphical subsystems (and (RT)OSes, if any) you use.

Depending on the content of each license, the following two editions are available.

Small Business Edition – for small projects

■ Studio License

  • Unlimited project complexity
  • Per developer seat (Node-Locked)

■Platform Package License

  • Available platforms (View more)
  • Pre-compiled libraries
  • in the watermark
  • No royalties per device
  • Max.300 devices/year
  • Supports 1 color format
  • Bound to 1 platform

Professional Edition – for medium to large projects

■ Studio License

  • Unlimited project complexity
  • Per developer seat (Node-Locked*)

Try Embedded Wizard (Free Edition)

Embedded Wizard also has a free version, Free Edition, for evaluation and prototyping. The Free Edition can be downloaded by applying from the form on the manufacturer site below.

The contents of each Free Edition Studio License and Platform Package License are as follows.

Free Edition – for evaluation and prototyping

■ Studio License

  • Limited project complexity (*)

■Platform Package License

  • Available platforms (View more)
  • Pre-compiled libraries
  • Watermarked

* The complexity of the GUI is determined by the number of bitmaps, fonts and classes used.
