Thermal camera image processing machine

A customer involved in the research and development of explosion-proof cameras asked us for a PC to process images taken with a thermo camera.
The expected specs are as follows.

・CPU: 8 cores 16 threads or more
・Memory: 16GB or more
・Storage: SSD for OS, 2 1TB HDD for data
・Network: LAN x1 port or more, 1000BASE or more, jumbo frame support
・Video: Video 2 output OK with HDMI x2 port
・Optical drive: Supports DVD writing
・Internal I/F: PCI card x2 (analog output and reed relay contact output)
PCI-Express card x1 (digital input/output) can be installed
・Case: Supports horizontal installation
・Others: Supports 24-hour operation

Based on the content of the consultation, we have introduced the following configuration.

CPU Core i7-12700 (2.10GHz 8-core + 1.6GHz 4-core)
memory 16GB REG ECC
Storage 1 480GB SSD S-ATA high durability model
Storage 2 2TB HDD S-ATA
video on board (DisplayPort x2 HDMI x2)
network on board (10/100 / 1000Base-T x2)
Internal I / F PCI-E Gen5.0 x16(1) Gen4.0 x4(2) Gen3.0 x1(1) PCI x3 S-ATA 6G x8 M.2 x1
Housing + power supply Landscape Desktop Chassis + 500W
OS Microsoft Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC 64bit

We considered the configuration that satisfies your needs
Assuming 24-hour operation, storage and power supply units are highly durable products.

The motherboard with this configuration is equipped with three PCI slots in addition to the PCI-Express slot, so it is compatible with all the cards that will be installed. However, please note that the PCI slot is a bridge connection specification from the chipset.

The network adapter supports jumbo frames.

The configuration of this case study is based on the conditions given by the customer.
Please feel free to contact us even if you are considering different conditions from what is posted.

・What is a PCI bus?
The PCI bus is a standard for connecting expansion cards and motherboards in computers. Developed by Intel in the 1990s, it was widely used, but now it has shifted to PCI-Express. There is no compatibility between PCI and PCI-Express.

・What is a bridge connection?
Bridging is the ability to connect different networks and protocols.Bridging enables packet transfer between heterogeneous networks and devices.Since the PCI bus required in this example is no longer a mainstream standard, it is designed to allow the use of PCI cards by bridging from PCI-Express.As a point of caution, please note that using a PCI card in a bridge connection may cause malfunctions due to compatibility issues between the motherboard and the card.
