Tegara Corporation exhibited at the 2024rd Japan Society of Medical Imaging Technology Conference, held at Hitotsubashi University for three days from August 8th to 5th, 7. Using actual products, we introduced some examples of how we can help with medical research and development in the AI era.

Example of medical education infrastructure construction at Fukui University
We exhibited a poster at our booth about supporting the creation of a comprehensive medical education environment at Fukui University.
We also exhibited a demonstration of AI-based chest X-ray image diagnosis, which was carried out in the actual environment we constructed.
Many people stopped by to give us a variety of opinions and feedback, from comments like "That's me in the picture," and "I was also involved in this research," to questions like "How do you link the images?" We hope that we have been able to contribute, however small, to the development of AI technology related to medical images.
The TKS Division, which provides a "complete research and development/experiment equipment construction service that can be used immediately after delivery," is providing a complete set of systems and environments necessary for research and development using AI, as in this case.
Introducing customized PCs for medical image analysis
We exhibited a workstation for the image analysis software "MIPAR" tailored to fields such as materials science and biology (Case No. PC-12042B).
*For details about MIPAR workstations, please refer to the following page.
The Tegsys Division, which provides "research and industrial PC manufacturing and sales services," also offers workstations suitable for other medical image analysis software, etc. Visitors to the exhibition praised the company's ability to fully customize products to meet the individual needs of each customer.
Demonstration of robot arm operation using an electroencephalogram (EEG) measuring device
A demonstration was held where a robot arm was operated by brainwaves (mental commands) using an electroencephalogram (EEG) measuring device (EPOC X, manufactured by EMOTIV, Australia) and a robot arm (NED, manufactured by Niryo, France).
*For details about EPOC X and NED2, please refer to the product pages below.
You can see the video that was shown at the venue below.
In addition to the above, the Unipos Division, which provides "overseas product procurement and consultation services", procures cutting-edge research and development products that are not available in Japan for researchers and developers throughout Japan.
State of the venue
The conference was truly a combined medical and engineering event for the age of AI, with an ambitious atmosphere in which there was an active exchange of opinions about technological advances and challenges facing the practical application of various medical device programs.
We would like to thank all of you who visited our exhibition booth. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the organizers of the event for their cooperation.
Tegara Corporation will continue to provide useful information to researchers and developers through academic conferences.
