A comprehensive database for sustainability assessment, "openLCA Nexus Databasepage has been added.
The openLCA Nexus Database from GreenDelta, a German sustainability consulting and software company, is designed to efficiently perform Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of products and services, helping researchers and companies accurately analyze the environmental impacts and make sustainable decisions.
It covers a wide range of industry data based on the latest scientific knowledge, allowing users to quantitatively evaluate the environmental impact of their products and develop strategies for environmental improvement.
Nexus Database is seamlessly integrated with openLCA, a life cycle assessment software also developed by GreenDelta, and is both easy to use and highly accurate. It is used by many researchers and companies as a powerful tool for building a sustainable future.
Main uses of the openLCA Nexus Database
- Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
- Sustainability Analysis
- Environmental Impact Assessment
- Data Management
- Environmental improvement strategy formulation
Examples of suitable fields for use
It is used in the fields of manufacturing, energy, construction, agriculture, transportation, consumer goods, environmental policy, eco-design, recycling, sustainable supply chain management, etc. It also supports sustainable decision-making through precise environmental impact assessments, helping to reduce the environmental burden.

IDEA (Inventory Database for Environmental Analysis)
A hybrid inventory database of statistical data and process data developed and maintained by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry (JEMAI).
It includes LCI datasets for non-manufacturing industries (agriculture, forestry, fisheries, mining, construction and civil engineering), manufacturing industries (food and beverages, textiles, chemicals, ceramics and building materials, metals and machinery), electricity, gas, water supply and sewerage, and more, covering almost all products classified within the scope of the Japanese Standard Commodity Classification, ensuring comprehensiveness.
PSILCA
A database for Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) developed by GreenDelta, the developer of openLCA.
Based on Eora's multi-regional input-output database, which contains comprehensive general inventory information on approximately 190 industrial sectors and products in approximately 15,000 countries, it is possible to calculate and evaluate the social impacts of products along their life cycles and detect social hotspots.
All datasets contain information about their origin, the year of the particular data point, and the overall rating scheme (some database types also provide additional information about the raw values and data quality).

What is LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)?
This is a methodology for assessing the environmental impact of products and services throughout their entire life cycle. It quantitatively analyzes the environmental impact at each stage, from the collection of raw materials to manufacturing, use and disposal, and supports decision-making for sustainable development.
