Key points of the new version of SnapGene V8.0

SnapGene 8.0 has been improved in speed and ease of use, with new features and an improved user interface.plasmid) bulk annotation, real-time cloud collaboration, and enhanced file management capabilities are key features.

  • Improved performance: Overall speed is improved, making large-scale data processing faster.
  • Bulk annotation of plasmids: Easily add features and primers to large numbers of sequences.
  • UI improvement: The new interface allows for intuitive operation. Filtering and sorting functions have been added to improve efficiency.

Updated features

Bulk annotation of plasmids

You can detect common features and add primers to multiple sequences at once, making simulations easier and improving work efficiency.

Modern UI Improvements

New Map, Sequence, Function and Primer views allow for more intuitive data comprehension with improved filtering and sorting capabilities.

Alignment editing function

When aligned to a reference DNA sequence, gap positions in Sanger traces and virtual structures can be edited for more accurate sequence analysis.

Improved file and folder operations

Improved file selection visualization makes it easier to manage unsaved files, allowing you to manage your entire project more efficiently.

Differences in technical specifications

  • Added the ability to batch change annotations and sequence attributes for multiple files
  • Enhanced sequence alignment editing function allows gap adjustment
  • Expanded support for more DNA/RNA file formats

With these technical improvements, SnapGene 8.0 enables users to work more efficiently and flexibly than ever before. The new interface makes it easier to manage unsaved files and see at a glance which files have been modified. In addition, the zoom and search functions for sequences have been improved and the operation is more intuitive.

What benefits does SnapGene bring to research and development?

  • The ability to quickly process large amounts of sequence data makes the entire project run more smoothly.
  • Real-time cloud sharing allows multiple researchers to edit data simultaneously from different locations, facilitating collaboration.
  • With the latest data analysis and simulation accuracy improved, you can perform analysis more efficiently.
  • Simplified plasmid design and alignment allows for more precise genetic manipulation.
