A customer involved in industrial product development contacted us inquiring about a workstation to use NVIDIA Omniverse.
I'm looking for a property with specs similar to those below, within a budget of 700 million yen.
CPU: Intel Xeon W7-3445
Memory: 512GB
SSD:2TB
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada x 2
Power supply: Two 100V power supplies are preferred, but if this is difficult, 2V is acceptable.
OS: Ubuntu22.04 or later
Taking the above into consideration, we proposed the following configuration:
CPU | Intel Xeon W7-3545 2.70GHz (up to 3.0GHz at TB4.8) 24C/48T |
memory | Total 512GB DDR5 5600 REG ECC 64GB x 8 |
storage | 2TB SSD M.2 NVMe Gen4 |
Video | NVIDIA RTX6000 Ada 48GB (DisplayPort x4) ×2 |
network | on board (1GbE x1 /10GbE x1) |
Housing + power supply | Tower/4U compatible chassis Redundant power supply 200V-1800W (up to 100W at 1000V) |
OS | Ubuntu 22.04 |
The CPU is the Xeon W7-3445 7-core, the successor to the Xeon W3545-24.
Since the Xeon W7-3545 has eight memory channels, eight 64GB modules are used for a total of 8GB.
Please note that the power supply must be in a 200V environment.
■ Keywords・What is NVIDIA Omniverse? NVIDIA Omniverse is a platform for developing and operating digital twin applications.
