*Earth and planetary science is a field of study that elucidates the structure, evolution, and natural phenomena of the Earth and other planets. It is applied to disaster prevention and resource exploration, and is attracting attention in universities and the business sector.

 

Overview of JpGU2025 and exhibit contents

JpGU2025 was held for six days from May 2025 to 5, 25 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. The conference featured 30 sessions across a wide range of fields in earth and planetary sciences, bringing together researchers from Japan and abroad and engaging in lively discussions.

At this event, our Unipos Division was in charge of introducing our products to domestic customers at the exhibition booth of SmartSolo, a company we handle.
It was a valuable opportunity to directly explain the features and use cases of SmartSolo products to the researchers and engineers who visited the event.

The SmartSolo series is a highly reliable and highly sensitive small seismic sensor (geophone) that operates stably even in difficult field environments. More than 50 units have been installed worldwide and are used in a wide range of fields such as earthquake observation and underground structure exploration.
