A customer conducting research into medical access viewed Case No. PC-11075 and contacted us to inquire about installing a workstation.
The client requested a configuration that would support wide-area network analysis and spatial statistical analysis, and the software they plan to use is STATA, ArcGIS Pro, and SPSS.
The OS will be a dual-boot configuration of Windows and Ubuntu 22.04, and the budget is expected to be around 100 million yen.

In order to ensure smooth operation of statistical analysis software such as STATA, ArcGIS Pro, and SPSS, we proposed a configuration that ensured sufficient performance while keeping costs down.

About CPU

The Intel Xeon W5-2545 (12 cores, 24 threads) processor provides ample processing power for spatial analysis in ArcGIS Pro and statistical processing in SPSS.

Memory and Storage Configuration

Equipped with 128GB of ECC DDR5 memory, it supports simultaneous use of multiple software programs and processing of large amounts of data.
The storage uses a 1TB SSD (SATA), ensuring sufficient capacity while keeping costs down.

GPU selection

The NVIDIA RTX A1000 (8GB) was selected, which can handle 2D/3D display in ArcGIS Pro and relatively light GPU processing.

Scalability and Warranty

It is equipped with multiple PCIe and M.2 slots, allowing for future expansion.
The warranty period is extended by one year on top of the standard warranty period, for a total of two years with send-back.
