Stata workstation: Budget 3 million yen (October 2025 edition)

A customer conducting research into medical access viewed Case No. PC-11075 and contacted us to inquire about installing a workstation.
The client requested a configuration that would support wide-area network analysis and spatial statistical analysis, and the software they plan to use is STATA, ArcGIS Pro, and SPSS.
The OS will be a dual-boot configuration of Windows and Ubuntu 22.04, and the budget is expected to be around 200 million yen.

In order to handle spatial statistical analysis and network analysis, which require high processing loads, we proposed a configuration that emphasized a balance between performance and scalability.

About CPU

It uses the Intel Xeon W7-2575X (22 cores, 44 threads) and is capable of parallel processing and analysis using Python.

Memory and Storage Configuration

Equipped with 256GB of ECC DDR5 memory, it also supports large-scale map data processing in ArcGIS Pro and multivariate analysis in SPSS.
The storage is equipped with two 2TB SSDs (NVMe Gen4), allowing for high-speed reading and writing.

GPU selection

The NVIDIA RTX PRO4500 (32GB) was selected to support 3D analysis and GPU-accelerated processing in ArcGIS Pro, providing sufficient performance for research purposes.

Scalability and Warranty

It is equipped with multiple expansion slots, allowing for future addition of GPUs and storage.
The warranty period is extended by one year on top of the standard warranty period, for a total of two years with send-back.
