Introducing the omnidirectional 3D vision system developed and sold by DreamVu, which is posted on the Unipos website.

DreamVu has the following 4 models (as of June 2022) depending on the wide field of view, high-precision detectable distance and features.

This time, we would like to introduce the PAL Mini, which has changed specifications, and the PAL Mini and PAL USB starter kits out of the four models.

DreamVu PAL mini (Detection distance: 0-5m)

2.5WPAL MiniIs the smallest (fingertip size), ultra-low power omnidirectional 3D vision system (depth sensor) available with either USB 3.0 or MIPI interface.
It works with CMOS image sensors and provides RGB, depth and 3D point cloud output.

The shape is almost the same, but the body size (H) is slightly higher by 0.9 cm (from 63.47 mm to 71.80 mm).

Applications

Compact, fingertip-sized, PAL Mini is designed and manufactured to meet the stringent requirements of industrial applications and is suitable for applications such as robotics, industrial IoT, and consumer equipment such as smart houses.

With a wide viewing angle of 360 ° and a wide range of ambient lighting (5 to 25,000 lux), it can be used in various environments and lighting conditions.For example, even in low light, high resolution and accurate depth accuracy enable detection of small obstacles and judgment of terrain characteristics.
It can be installed in robot vacuum cleaners, UV disinfection, domestic robots, autonomous mobile robots, automatic guided vehicles, remote teleoperation vehicles, etc.

It is a general term for general lighting that evenly illuminates the entire room. 5 lux is about the lighting of the audience seats during the screening in the movie theater, and 25,000 lux is about the outdoor natural light during cloudy day.

About the starter kit

PAL Mini has not only a single depth sensor but also a starter kit for each application.
The starter kit does not require any software installation and allows you to easily stream 360 degree 3D video from PAL Mini.
It can be used only with an HDMI monitor, keyboard and mouse.

For example, for collision avoidance needs, provide a 110 degree vertical view as well as the PAL Mini, depending on the area that requires obstacle detection.PAL USBI think it is possible to include in the options.
PAL USB can cover the vertical angle (elevation angle: upward angle / depression angle: downward angle) with respect to the horizontal while standing upright.
