Intel RealSense Depth Camera D456
Ntel RealSense's new model D456 is a depth camera specializing in long-distance measurement based on the popular D455. The D456 is equipped with a global shutter RGB sensor, depth sensor, and IMU sensor (Bosch BMI085). The biggest feature compared to the D455 is that its dustproof and waterproof performance has been significantly improved. The D456 can be said to be a model that can achieve highly accurate depth sensing in harsh environments such as outdoors and factory sites.

About D455 series
The Intel RealSense D455 series generally has the following differences.
- RealSense D455 – Base model depth camera. Equipped with RGB, depth sensor, and IMU.
- RealSense D456 – A model with enhanced dustproof and waterproof performance of D455. Obtained IP65 rating.
- RealSense D455f – Comes with IR filter.Calibration improves depth accuracy.
- RealSense D457 – High precision model of D455. It has IP65 grade waterproof and dustproof performance and GMSL FAKRA connector.

D455/D456 comparison
Like the D456 camera, the D455 consists of an Intel D450 optical module and Intel RealSense Vision Processor D4 Board V3, housed in an IP65 compliant housing. Since it has an IP65 rating and is dust and waterproof, it is considered to be more suitable for outdoor use than the D455.Other depth accuracy and sensor performance are equivalent and compatible.
