We received an inquiry from a customer who performs mathematical analysis of metabolism regarding a computational machine for research on in vivo metabolic networks.
I would like a configuration that can solve mixed integer linear programming problems (MILP) with MATLAB and CPLEX at high speed, and the budget is about 70 yen.
Based on your budget and usage, we have proposed the following configuration.
CPU | Core i-13900K (3.00GHz 8 cores + 2.20GHz 16 cores) |
memory | 128GB |
storage | 1TB SSD S-ATA |
video | Nvidia T400 |
network | on board (2.5GBase-T x1) Wi-Fi x1 |
Housing + power supply | Middle tower case + 850W |
OS | None |
Among the Core-i CPUs, it is configured with the fastest Core-i9 13900K at the moment.
The total of the high performance core (Golden Cove Performance Core: P core) and the high efficiency core (Gracemont Efficiency Core: E core) is a CPU with 24 cores,High efficiency cores are not very fast. Please note that not all 24 cores run at the same speed.
The maximum memory capacity is 128GB.
If you want a faster CPU with the same number of cores, you can increase the upper limit of memory capacity by changing to ThreadripperPRO specifications. However, the cost increase is large, so please consider it as an option if you have enough budget.
The configuration of this case study is based on the conditions given by the customer.
Please feel free to contact us even if you are considering different conditions from what is posted.
