From August 8, we started screening (selection test) to further improve the quality of all HDDs used for Tegara PC. We independently test and use only HDDs that meet certain standards for products, and do not use HDDs that do not meet the standards even if they are operating.

In the past, Tegara PCs had been subjected to rigorous operation tests before shipment, but HDDs have relatively high failure rates, and their durability varied. Therefore, we decided to improve the durability and reduce the failure rate by selecting and using HDDs in advance.

[Advantages of screening]

By removing HDDs that have potential failure factors or poor performance before installation, the HDD troubles after delivery can be reduced, and the effects of extending the useful life and suppressing variations in performance can be expected. In addition, delivery delays due to HDD problems before shipment can be prevented.

Specific screening contents include checking for bad sectors, speed, and temperature by reading and writing data to all sectors of the HDD, and checking some SMART items to see if there are any abnormalities in the values. Do the work.Exclude HDDs where abnormal values are found, and use only HDDs that show normal values.

The screening will not change the price of the PC. We believe that this effort will improve the reliability and durability of our products more than ever.
