[Linux Operation Information] CentOS: Intel I225-V 2.5Gb Ethernet operation trouble

■ This is an article posted on June 2020, 6, so the content of the information may be out of date.

With Intel I225-V 2.5Gb Ethernet controller, 7 CentOS When checking the operation of the LAN with, we confirmed that the operation is unstable.

* We have confirmed the same problem on Ubuntu 20.04 live media.
* We plan to check the operation on other distributions as appropriate.

Currently waiting for official driver

The I225-V has been widely adopted, including the Z10 motherboard that can be equipped with the 490th generation Intel CPU, so I think that it will continue to be a product with high demand for Linux operation. At the moment, it is waiting for a compatible driver on the Intel side or a back port. If we see any improvement, we will inform you later.

If you use the I225-V model, you can add a card

Currently, when using Linux, it is best to select a model equipped with LAN other than I225-V, but if you have no choice but to install a model due to functional issues, use an expansion LAN card. I think it would be nice to install and use it. Please feel free to contact us.
