Workstation for thermo-fluid analysis

PC 9870We received a request for a workstation for thermo-fluid analysis from a customer viewing this.
Specifically, we are asking if the following configuration is feasible.

・CPU: 12 to 16 cores or more
・Memory: 32GB or more
・Storage: 1TB or more
・Video: 3D CAD works smoothly (analysis speed is more important than graphic performance)
・OS: Windows 10
・Software used: OpenFOAM, Paraview
・Budget: About 100 million yen

Based on the specs assumed by the customer, we proposed the following configuration.

CPU Xeon W7-2495X (2.50GHz 24 cores)
memory 128GB REG ECC
Storage 1 1TB SSD S-ATA
video NVIDIA RTX A2000 12GB MiniDisplayPort x4
network on board (2.5GbE x1 /10GbE x1)
Housing + power supply Tower type housing + 1000W
OS Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64bit

In response to a request to emphasize analysis speed, we proposed a configuration with improved specifications for the number of CPU cores and memory capacity compared to the example No. PC-9870 you saw.
Case No. PC-9870 is inexpensive, but the number of CPU cores cannot be increased, so the base configuration has been changed to the latest Xeon W-2400 series.

For the video card, we have chosen a middle-class product for workstations. If it is a general level 3D drawing, it can be done without problems.

The configuration of this case study is based on the conditions given by the customer.
Please feel free to contact us even if you are considering different conditions from what is posted.
