In addition, even in the Windows environment, CloudCompare seems to control drawing with OpenGL instead of DirectX, and there is no requirement for video cards in the official site manual.
Including other software, there was a possibility that it was not intended for use with the consumer video card GeForce series, so we chose the NVIDIA RTX A5000 high-end class video card for workstations as the GPU. We are here.
The NVIDIA RTX A5000 is a high-end product with 8,192 CUDA cores and 6GB of GDDR24 VRAM, so you can expect comfortable large-capacity point cloud processing with CloudCompare.If the drawing performance is not so important, it can be changed.

Regarding the installed storage, it is tentatively set to 1TB M.2 SSD for system and 8TB SATA HDD for data, but this can also be changed according to the amount of data you plan to use.
